Enrique C. was born in 1982 in Barranquilla, Colombia, a city known for its warm spirit, creativity, and the world-famous Barranquilla Carnival. He completed high school in Barrio Abajo, one of the cultural hearts of the city, where music, dance, and artistic expression shaped his early years. Surrounded by this vibrant environment, Enrique began participating in cultural activities and developed a deep appreciation for storytelling and the arts.
In 1997, he learned to play the guitar, further fueling his passion for music. Since his youth, he has loved reading, writing stories, composing songs, and living the full experience of being a proud Barranquillero.
His curiosity for technology started early. Enrique grew fascinated with computers, machines, and innovation, collecting Mecánica Popular magazines—publications that showcased breakthroughs in engineering, automobiles, and industrial design. Inspired by what he read, he began designing car models, creating prototypes, and presenting ideas to local automotive businesses.
During school, he first encountered the works of Leonardo da Vinci, an influence that left a lasting mark. The idea of being a multidisciplinary creator resonated deeply, encouraging him to explore concepts across many fields—helicopters, clothing, vehicles, and experimental designs made purely out of passion and imagination.
Early Travels & Artistic Formation
In 2000, Enrique moved to Cartagena, embracing a bohemian lifestyle focused on exploration and art. In 2001, he relocated to Bogotá, where he continued expanding his artistic journey—writing stories, composing music, and even performing operetta as a second tenor. He also began working as a producer associate, gaining hands-on experience in media and creative production.
Driven by a desire to understand the world firsthand, Enrique embarked on a long exploration of South America, traveling to more than 100 cities across Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, and Argentina. These travels shaped his understanding of cultures, cities, and the social and economic dynamics of different countries—preparing him for his future work in international environments.
Professional Evolution
In 2009, Enrique settled in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where he began working in television as a post-producer, creating 3D animations and visual content for studios and companies. His experience in TV and production helped him understand the importance of corporate communication, brand narrative, and strategic messaging.
By 2011, he shifted his focus to corporate communication and marketing, helping companies build their online presence through websites, graphic design, business strategy, and branding.
In 2012, Enrique moved to Ecuador to better understand dollarized economies and support entrepreneurs in various sectors, including cable manufacturing, aviation, and small business development—offering consulting in strategy, design, and communication.
New Horizons
In 2015, Enrique moved to California, where he launched Súmate Colombia, his first major community-oriented project. He collaborated with the Colombian Consulate and worked alongside David Luna, Colombia's Minister of Technology at the time, contributing to programs that connected Colombian talent abroad with innovation and digital opportunities.
He later expanded his work into the commercial real estate development sector, collaborating with firms as a project manager and creative strategist, helping shape architectural concepts and design communication for large-scale projects.
During the pandemic, Enrique created wiPhay, a robotics initiative focused on automation, design, and emerging technology. At the same time, he continued supporting local businesses in California through marketing, strategy, and digital solutions.
Today
Enrique is currently focused on the integration of Artificial Intelligence across multiple fields, blending creativity, design, robotics, business strategy, and digital innovation. His goal is to consolidate his multidisciplinary career into a unified platform that leverages technology to improve lives, empower communities, and inspire creativity.
